These conjoined fledglings are totally freaked out. They are at a bit of a loss over what sort of flying they are supposed to accomplish with such small wings, And just hopping seems a bit inadequate for such a majestic creature. It does have Austro-Hungarian roots… it lives on one of the oldest trees in the world (the tree has been growing since the 1400s) and the bird has been in this state for about 200 years. That is why its wings are so atrophied and small. What could it possibly do to break free of this terribly crippling anxiety?
