Thank you very much, Adel. It was my pleasure. I actually came down with a cold right after my talk, and didn’t get to see all that much. I’ll have to make a return visit sometime.

Was such a awesome time “meeting” you at the design indaba (we didn’t actually me i sat in the audience while you indoctrinated me with your skill and point of view) would of been grate to have actually meet to just say “i have met Stefan G. Bucher” but, no i didn’t get to meet you. Next time 😉 But yeah, thx for the “cool” talk and exciting presentation. Was interesting to see the person live who i have been following since these monsters lived on the net. Until next time, Cheerz

Thank you for your note, JJ. I’m glad that you enjoyed my talk, and sorry that we didn’t get to meet. I came down with the reprise of a month-old cold right after my presentation and have been holed up at the hotel since then. Next time! For now, you should just tell people you met me. I’ll totally back you up.

That’s a kak (shit in Afrikaans) one man. Don’t you just love Merphe and his law? It’s situations like yours Alan’s Morrisett write songs about. luckily your in South Africa so you can ether go see a Dr. OR go the tourist rout and see an Sangoma. Awesome, I’ll say we tight and shit you know, we like homeboy’s now 😀 (joking) Get well Stefan. Our city / country has a lot to offer, hope you get to experience it. And thank you for the reply.

Hi Stefan! I’m sick now too! We could be bacteria buddies! Just think, floating somewhere in that aircon duct was the organism that would pass through your and my respiratory systems (and those of everyone else at the indaba) and enjoin our destinies! It’s kinda beautiful and disgusting at the same time. Really amazing talk; I especially connected with the ‘workarounds’ – i call them brainhacks – as I too suffer from an insubordinate brainbox. Why only last night, when I couldn’t sleep, I found myself considering that if I were to sequentially replace the neurons in my head with artificial silicon chips I could probably turn myself into a living cyborg and live forever. Anyhoo, my question to you is: is there any way I could see your intro montage again?

Hi Stefan, your speech was absolutely phenomenal and amazingly inspiring!! I unfortunately didn’t get to meet you, but I want to thank you for reminding us creatives about what is important in life. Cheers

Just a note to say thank you for your compelling talk at the Indaba last week; twas the highlight of the entire conference. I found your “serious” bit of the talk to be very refreshing and your monsters are truly inspired.
I shall be following them with keen interest from now on!

Thank you, Danie. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I hope they’ll have me back one of these years.

You’re very kind, Sandy. Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed my presentation. :^)

  • 4 March 2010 5:40 pm

Thank you again, Danie. You’re very generous. (And yes, I’m feeling better. Still sans voice for the moment, but otherwise A-OK. :^)

Hi Rudi. Yes, we are all one. Thanks to all our shared upper respiratory infection. The miracle of life, in full bloom! Ha!
I wouldn’t mind a fast and easy brain upgrade, but I don’t know how I feel about living forever. It’s kind of nice to have a finish line. Ask me again as it’s closer. I’m sure I’ll be more eager.
For now, you can see the intro again here: http://www.aiga.org/content.cfm/video-makethink-2009-bucher

Thank you very much, Tania. I’m sorry we didn’t get to say Hello, but I appreciate that you took the time to send me a note here. Greetings from California!

  • 4 March 2010 5:46 pm

You’re very kind, Michelle. Thank you very much. I’m glad you enjoyed the serious bit, too. I always get a bit self-conscious about that when the grown-ups (like Michael and Bill) are around. :^D

Stefan, I have just sat down with my two sons in front of all your monsters on your site and they gave us such a show. We have now ordered your book (on their insistence). Isnt it great when that happens. They wanted to know all sorts of questions about your monsters – and I cant speak for them – so you might get some mail.

  • 4 March 2010 8:31 pm

Ah… warping the minds of the minors! Excellent! Thank you to your sons for instigating the book order! I hope you’ll all enjoy it! I stand ready for questions.
